Seedance 2.5 launched, and within a week nine platforms were selling "unlimited" access to it. The word is doing a lot of work: depending on where you buy, "unlimited" means anything from five-second 480p clips for six days to 30-second generations for a full year — and most of the offers expire the week of August 13.
We integrated Seedance 2.5 too (as the ultra tier of our Seedance engine). We didn't launch an unlimited plan, and this post explains why — but first, here's what each "unlimited" offer actually gets you, so you can compare like-for-like before committing to an annual plan for a launch promo.
The nine offers, normalized
All details are as advertised in early August 2026. These promos are moving fast — verify the current terms on each site before subscribing.
| Platform | Price | "Unlimited" actually means | Caps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Artlist | $41.67/mo billed annually (~$500 upfront) | 365 days | 4–30s, 480/720p |
| Topview | $50/mo billed annually ($599.90/yr) | 60 days | Up to 30s, 720p |
| Crea | $149 / $249 / $449 first month | 7 / 15 / 30 unlimited days per month | Up to 30s, fair-use queueing at peak |
| Higgsfield | From $49/mo | 7 days | Plus / Max / Ultra plans only |
| Runway | $95/mo (Max) | Until Aug 14 | 4–30s, 480/720p, new Max plans only |
| Renoise | $140/mo launch price | Aug 7–14 | 4–30s, 720p, one generation at a time |
| Vadoo | $399/mo or $249/mo billed annually | 7 days | Up to 30s, Ultimate tier only |
| Astorie | $50/mo (Pro) / $150/mo (Ultimate) | 2 days / 7 days | New subscriptions only |
| OpenArt | $240/mo (Wonder) or $175/mo billed annually | Until Aug 13, 11:59pm PT | Unlimited mode is 5s at 480p only |
Read the caps column twice. The patterns:
- The annual-commitment trap. The two longest "unlimited" windows (Artlist, Topview) require paying for a year upfront. You're not buying unlimited Seedance — you're buying an annual subscription with a Seedance promo attached.
- The countdown clock. Runway, Renoise, and OpenArt end their windows August 13–14. Higgsfield, Vadoo, and Astorie sell 2–7 days of unlimited. That's a sprint, not a plan.
- The resolution asterisk. OpenArt's unlimited mode is 5-second 480p clips — a different product from the 1080p renders the model is being praised for. Several others cap unlimited at 720p.
- The throttle. "Fair-use queueing at peak times" and "one unfinished generation at a time" are rate limits. Unlimited volume at limited speed is a quota with extra steps.
Why every platform launched the same week
None of this is a coincidence, and it isn't charity. Seedance 2.5 is a ByteDance model, and launch-window economics explain the whole pattern:
- Compute for this model is genuinely expensive. On the open aggregator market, Seedance 2.5 retails around $0.47 per second of 720p video. A single 30-second generation costs the platform roughly $14 in inference. An "unlimited" user who renders 50 clips a day is burning hundreds of dollars of compute daily.
- Launch partners get subsidized rates. ByteDance's cloud arm offers the model directly at less than half the aggregator price — with regional restrictions (it's not currently accessible from the US) — and launch-window promotional pricing on top of that. The platforms running week-long unlimited promos are spending marketing budget on subsidized compute to grab signups while the model is trending.
- When the subsidy window closes, so does "unlimited." That's why the offers expire August 13–14, and why the durable ones are chained to annual billing. The promo is designed to convert the launch hype into 12-month commitments before the unit economics reassert themselves.
There's nothing scandalous about any of this — it's a normal launch playbook. But you should price the offer by what it costs after the window, not during it.
How we priced it instead
We took the boring route: Seedance 2.5 is a per-render credit cost, same as every other engine on UGC Copilot. No annual lock-in required, no unlimited window that expires while you're reading the terms.
- Seedance 2.5 renders as the ultra tier of our Seedance engine — the tier you reach for when you want its two signature strengths: single-take coherence (one continuous, unbroken shot with no cuts or morphing) and richer native audio (the most natural built-in voices of any engine we run).
- Through August 21 it's at launch pricing — 20% off the regular rate, which works out to 75–450 credits per render depending on duration (5–30 seconds). After that it reverts to the regular 94–563 range. We're saying the end date out loud, in the interface, next to the price. Current rates are always on the pricing page.
- Seedance 2.0 Fast and HQ stay exactly where they were (18/35 credit base) for volume work. Most ad iterations don't need the ultra tier; use 2.0 to find the winning angle — our Seedance workflow guide covers that loop — then re-render the winner on 2.5.
And since this post is about reading the fine print, here's ours: Seedance 2.5 renders single takes up to 30 seconds — the same ceiling the unlimited offers advertise — while the cheaper Seedance 2.0 Fast/HQ tiers cap at 15 seconds per scene. A 30-second take bills at the same per-second rate as a short one (duration-scaled, no long-video premium), so the price below covers the full range.
The math for an actual ad workflow
Say you're testing a product ad this week: 12 draft renders to find the angle, 3 finals on the premium model.
- On UGC Copilot: 12 Seedance 2.0 Fast drafts (18–54 credits each depending on duration) plus 3 Seedance 2.5 finals (75–450 credits each at launch pricing, depending on length). The total lands comfortably inside a Creator or Pro month — no new subscription, no timer.
- On an unlimited promo: free marginal renders for the window — if you signed up in time, if your tier qualifies, if the queue moves, and if you're comfortable with what the plan costs in month two, or the remaining 11 months you prepaid.
Unlimited is a great deal for exactly one kind of user: someone who can batch a month of production into the promo window. For everyone else, the number that matters is cost per finished ad — and a transparent per-render price is the only version of that number you can actually calculate.
TL;DR
- Nine platforms are selling "unlimited" Seedance 2.5; the definitions range from 2 days to 365, from 480p to 1080p, and most expire Aug 13–14.
- The offers are launch-subsidy marketing, largely funded by discounted launch-partner compute. Price the plan by month two, not launch week.
- UGC Copilot runs Seedance 2.5 at a flat per-render credit cost — 75–450 credits at launch pricing through Aug 21, for takes up to 30 seconds — alongside Seedance 2.0 Fast/HQ for volume drafting. See the model comparison for how it stacks up against Sora 2, Veo 3.1, and Kling 3.0.
- Whatever you choose: read the caps column before you commit to annual billing.
